Toronto Metropolitan University has confirmed that the men’s varsity soccer team will continue with their scheduled season, following an inquiry into reported incidents of concerning behavior associated with the team.

The school has not given any details regarding the type of “behavior” that triggered the investigation, resulting in the team having to forfeit games earlier this year.

The school released a statement on Tuesday stating that it had hired an external party to carry out a comprehensive and unbiased investigation following a troubling report received earlier this year regarding the team. The statement does not mention the specific identity of the third party involved in the investigation.

The investigation has concluded, and the university has received the results. According to the findings, the men’s soccer season will continue as planned, states the statement.

“The university has deemed this issue to be resolved. To ensure the privacy and confidentiality of everyone involved, the university will refrain from making any additional statements or disclosing specifics regarding the independent investigation.”
